![]() As an MUA I'm sure that your work depends on a solid standard of performance. "performance for the price" - this is a concept I've yet to understand. The down vote button is for when people are dead wrong, like "omg all I use is 24k gold cleanser and it's great!", not to really show disagreement because you've had a bad experience with a product. If they did they wouldnt be in business, it's basically all they do other than brushes, (what's the one everyone and their mother used? Morphe brush 209?) they even have their own physical store in my town. ![]() Just because you guys have different experiences because they dont agree with your skin or current products you use, doesnt mean as a whole that morphe pallets suck. I've watched many videos with morphe pallets and I see them blend. I dont even use them with a primer more than half the time and still get good blending and color from them. But the big majority of the colors blend well, I have their fall winter something or other pallet and those are pigmented masterpieces that blend swimmingly. There are definitely a few shades where it's harder to blend and pick up, like the smaller jaclyn hill pallet. I can imagine it is pallet dependent, and I was just commenting on a brush post, and it could even be country dependent, they had really good luck with elf brushes, where as for me they basically fell apart on my face and I bought them from different stores at different times, but they were in AUS and I'm in the US. I don’t love their eye brushes as I find they don’t maintain their shape for very long, but I think their face brushes blend out my powder like none other.Īll my morphe pallets also blend really well. I also really enjoy Morphe’s lashes and find I am even able to wear one set a couple times with the proper care. I used their liquid felt tip liner on many parts of my face to complete my looks for a couple Halloween parties (I was a Mii, and then Belle Delphine twice, which are both liner-heavy looks) and the one liner pen I bought never ran out throughout practicing the looks in advance and doing them for the parties. Now for some positives! Morphe makes great eyeliner. If you’re shopping for bright colors, you’re better off with J* since that’s what his makeup line was made for. James can bitch all day long that “I told you that you’ll need a primer to get full payoff!!” but at the end of the day a truly good eyeshadow shouldn’t need it. I would say that the artistry side of the JC palette is good if you are trying to swatch and brag to your pals on social media that you own it, but no they do not interact well on the lid or blend well at all, and the yellow really doesn’t show up without a primer. That doesn’t surprise me, even Younique can make good neutrals and glam colors. Morphe makes good neutrals and glam colors, which I imagine are what the 5 palettes you own consist of. The colorful shadows are very poor quality, made-in-China, cheap shadows - especially the mattes. I own a couple, since I bought the JC palette on launch and received a couple as Xmas gifts.
